INDUSTRY AND ECONOMICS IN THE USA
|
The industry and economics of the USA have made it a global leader. At $14.3 trillion, the US has the largest national GDP in the world, and is also the largest importer of goods and the third largest exporter. In addition, the US is an industrial power and is the third largest producer of oil as well as, paradoxically, its largest importer. Furthermore, the USA is the world's number one producer of electrical and nuclear energy, as well as liquid natural gas, sulfur, phosphates and salt. Abundant natural resources, a well-developed infrastructure, and high productivity are key aspects of America's industry and economics.
