INTEGRATED ESL (READ, WRITE, LISTEN, SPEAK)
Integrated English programs teach English as a Second Language (ESL) by combining the different English skills together. In integrated English programs, international students can focus on reading, writing, listening and speaking all in one program, as opposed to taking each as a separate area of study. Integrated English programs sometimes focus on helping students prepare for the TOEFL iBT, a proficiency test which measures how well students read, listen, speak and write in English and use these skills together. This test is often required for university or college admission.

Integrated English programs in the USA are most often offered at the high school level, but may also be offered at colleges and independent language institutes.
